Why police polygraph testing is not discriminatory



Police polygraph testing are common and fall under employment guidelines outlined by different commissions in many jurisdictions. This means that when an examiner is conducting a police polygraph examination, the examiner will have to conduct the examination and ask police polygraph questions that do not discriminate the taker on the basis of race, sex, etc. Ethical standards are always observed throughout the testing and a central principle of the standards is that only relevant questions related to the police officer job position being applied for will be asked.
