Your skin is made up of 64% water! Water gives your skin elasticity and glow. If your body is dehydrated, you skin is most likely dehydrated as well. Water helps flush out toxins and keeps your cells nice and plump. Skin that is dehydrated ages more quickly, whereas well hydrated skin stays looking plump and youthful.
Always be sure to drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water each day to ensure that you’re properly hydrated. If you find you’re not motivated to drink water, try adding fruit such as lemon, cucumber, or berries for a lightly flavored fruit-infused water. Another way to increase your water intake throughout the day is by drinking tea. Tea is a great way to hydrate because it makes water a lot more exciting.
